Shopify developers, UK and Europe
Hire a Shopify developer without hiring one.
Most stores don't need a full-time developer. They need someone senior who knows the store, ships something useful every month and answers the phone in peak week.
The review comes back by email within two working days. No call unless you ask for one.
Three ways to get Shopify work done
All three are the right answer for somebody. Here is how we would describe them if you asked us over a call.
A freelancer
Works when
One defined job with a clear finish. A new section, a theme fix, a migration of one data set.
The trade
Harder when the work is ongoing. You hold the context, you brief every time, and you carry the handover when they take a bigger contract.
An in-house developer
Works when
Enough Shopify work to fill a week, every week, with someone senior enough to decide what to build.
The trade
Recruitment takes months. You carry salary, tooling and cover for holiday and illness, and a single developer has nobody to check their work.
A monthly retainer
Works when
A live store that needs watching and improving, where the work is real but not a full week of it.
The trade
You get a team rather than a person, at a fixed monthly fee with 30 days notice. Bigger projects are quoted separately rather than squeezed in.
What we actually work on
A month of work usually looks like one of these, agreed with you before anything starts.
Speed
Images, apps and theme code that have piled up since launch. We measure first, then remove what is costing you load time.
Checkout and conversion
The steps between the product page and the payment. Shipping clarity, payment methods, and the small frictions that lose orders.
Tracking that matches reality
GA4, consent mode and ad platform tracking that agree with what Shopify reports. Most stores we review disagree with themselves somewhere.
Theme changes
New sections, layout changes and merchandising controls your team can use without asking a developer every time.
Apps that argue
App conflicts, duplicate scripts and subscriptions nobody can account for. Fewer apps usually means a faster, cheaper store.
Trade pricing and B2B
Company accounts, price lists and payment terms on Shopify B2B, including the setups that no longer need Plus.
Systems that have to agree
Business Central, NetSuite, Odoo, Linnworks and the rest. Stock, prices and orders in step with the store.
Cover through peak
Someone watching the store through Black Friday and the January sale, with changes frozen when freezing them is the right call.
What it costs
A fixed fee each month, billed on the same day, with 30 days notice. You can move up, move down or pause.

Read the storyQuestions we get asked
- Is a retainer cheaper than hiring a Shopify developer?
- For most stores, yes, because the work rarely fills a full week. A retainer starts at £400 a month and includes monitoring and small fixes. Our Optimise package at £1,000 a month adds two improvements every month and a performance report. A full-time developer costs a salary plus recruitment, tooling and cover, and still leaves one person with nobody to check their work.
- Do you work with our existing theme?
- Yes. Most of what we do is on a store someone else built. We work on a copy of your theme, test on staging and ship when you are happy. A rebuild is a separate conversation and we will tell you plainly if we think you need one.
- Do we get the same developer every month?
- You get a named developer who knows the store, and the person who scopes the work is the person who builds it. There are no account managers in between.
- What happens when a job is bigger than the package?
- We quote it as a project and give you a price before anything starts. We can also group a few months of improvement time when that is the cleaner plan. Nothing gets quietly added to your bill.
- Are you a UK agency?
- We work with UK and European businesses, and we are based in Belgium rather than in a UK office. Everything runs on calls and shared tools, with the same people from the first conversation to the latest release.
- How quickly can you start?
- Send the store and you get a free review by email within two working days. If you want to go ahead after that, a package can start the same week. There is no lock-in and 30 days notice ends it.
