parallel is the controller for personal information collected through www.parallelcommerce.co.uk. You can email matt@parallelcommerce.co.uk.
This site is a place to read about our work and to contact us. We do not sell products through it, and we do not run a customer account.
What we collect
If you send the enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, company, website, message, the page you sent it from, and any time you suggest for a call.
If you book through the calendar, we collect your name, email address, the time of the booking, and any notes you add.
If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and do the work.
The site also collects technical data through analytics tools. That includes pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, and how you use the page. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity provide those tools. Vercel, which hosts the site, processes request logs and performance data.
Why we use it
We use enquiry and booking details to answer you and, if we work together, to run the project. The legal basis is steps toward a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We use analytics to see which pages and search queries earn their place, and to fix pages that confuse people. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the site. You can reject non essential cookies where the browser or the tool provides that control.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects.
Who else processes it
Supabase stores enquiry and booking records. Resend sends the notification email to us. Google Calendar runs the booking calendar. Vercel hosts the site. Google provides Analytics and Search Console. Microsoft provides Clarity.
These providers process data on our instructions, or as independent controllers for their own service. Some of them store data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and booking records are kept for as long as we need them to reply, to work with you, or to meet a legal duty. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in those tools. You can ask us to delete an enquiry if we no longer need it.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you can ask for a copy of your personal information, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, and ask for a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Belgium that is the Data Protection Authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
