Glasgow is the city where we can point at a store and a number without stretching the map.
Forty Clothing had three shops in the city and an online business that was behind them. We redesigned the Shopify store around conversion, then stayed to run loyalty, email, launches and the reporting that decides the next change.
Conversion moved from 0.8% to 4.6%. Within 12 months, online accounted for 50% of Forty's retail sales. The loyalty and email programme passed 50,000 subscribers.
What that means for another Glasgow brand
The useful part is not the streetwear. It is the sequence. Fix the store so it converts. Then build the direct relationship, so a good month is not only paid traffic. Then keep a senior person on it, instead of handing the keys back and disappearing.
If you have shops in Glasgow and a website that does not pull its weight, read the Forty Clothing case study and book a call. Scottish wholesale and heritage work sits on the Edinburgh page, because that is a different operation.
