Parallel Commerce is the controller for personal information collected through www.parallelcommerce.co.uk. You can email matt@parallelcommerce.co.uk.

This site is a place to read about our work and to contact us. We do not sell products through it, and we do not run a customer account.

## What we collect

If you send the enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, website and a band for online revenue in a year. We also collect what you need help with, your message, and the page you sent it from. Phone and company are optional. On some pages we also ask which package, plan or platform you mean.

If you ask for a store review, we collect your work email and the store URL.

If you join the newsletter, we collect your email address and the page you joined from. The note is one email a month.

If you book through the calendar, we collect your name, email address, the time of the booking, and any notes you add.

If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and do the work.

The site also collects technical data through analytics tools. That includes pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, and how you use the page. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity provide those tools. Apollo runs a tracker that can identify the business visiting the site, using Apollo's own records. It may also match a visit to a person already in those records. Vercel, which hosts the site, processes request logs and performance data.

## Why we use it

We use enquiry, store review and booking details to answer you and, if we work together, to run the project. A store review is a short written reply about the store you sent. The legal basis is steps toward a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

We use the newsletter email to send the monthly note you asked for. Joining the list is consent. You can leave it from the unsubscribe link in a note, or by emailing us. We also keep a record that you joined, so we can deal with that request.

We use analytics, including Apollo, to see which pages earn their place and which businesses the site reaches. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the site. You can reject non-essential cookies where the browser or the tool provides that control.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects. We do not publish a store URL or an email from a store review.

## Who else processes it

Supabase stores enquiry, store review, newsletter and booking records. Resend sends the notification email to us. Klaviyo holds the newsletter list and sends the monthly note. Google Calendar runs the booking calendar. Vercel hosts the site. Google provides Analytics and Search Console. Microsoft provides Clarity. Apollo provides the visitor tracker.

These providers process data on our instructions, or as independent controllers for their own service. Some of them, including Klaviyo and Apollo, store data outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

## How long we keep it

Enquiry, store review and booking records are kept while we need them. That covers a reply, the work, or a legal duty. A newsletter record is kept while you are on the list. After you leave, we delete it when we no longer need it. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in those tools. You can ask us to delete a record if we no longer need it.

## Your rights

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, you can ask for a copy of your personal information. You can ask us to correct it or delete it. You can ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, and you can ask for a portable copy. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.

Write to matt@parallelcommerce.co.uk. We may need to confirm it is you. We aim to reply within one month.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority. In Belgium that is the Data Protection Authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.

## Changes

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date above.
