faqs:
  - question: How much does a Shopify B2B build cost?
answer: A B2B build typically sits in the same £20,000 to £35,000 project range as a migration or a retail build, plus a monthly retainer. Price lists, company accounts and an ERP are what move it up.
  - question: Is Shopify Plus required?
answer: Not always. Company accounts, catalogues and payment terms are a Plus strength. Some wholesale can run on a lower plan with a deliberate app stack. We say which one after we have seen how you sell.
  - question: What does the monthly fee cover after launch?
answer: Support is £400 to £2,000 a month. Growth starts at £3,000 a month when the backlog is commercial, not only fixes.

A Shopify B2B build is not a theme with a login. It is company accounts, the price each buyer should see, and an order the warehouse and the ERP will accept.

For that work, we use the same project range as migrations and retail builds. £20,000 to £35,000, plus a monthly retainer.

## Why B2B sits where it sits in the range

A single trade price list and a clean catalogue can land toward the lower end. The buyer logs in, sees their price, and reorders without calling the office.

The upper end is several price lists, payment terms, a sales rep who needs to place an order for a customer, and an ERP that must stay the system of record. Business Central is the published pattern, on [Fáilte Foods](/work/failte-foods). Onboarding there rose by more than 500%.

If retail and wholesale share one store, the build also has to stop a trade price leaking onto the public site. That is a design decision, not a setting you find on the last week.

## What you are paying for

- Company records and the contacts who buy.
- Catalogues or price lists that match the ERP, not a spreadsheet someone updates on Fridays.
- A reorder path. Saved lists and a quick order pad matter more than a homepage banner.
- Checkout rules for tax, payment terms and who is allowed to buy.
- The integration that posts the order somewhere finance already trusts.

A storefront that looks wholesale and still emails the office for every price is not a finished B2B build.

## Plus, and the monthly cost

Shopify Plus is the right call when company accounts, heavier checkout rules or a larger operation are the job. It is not a trophy. We will say if a lower plan, with a smaller stack, does the work.

After launch, support runs from £400 to £2,000 a month. Growth starts at £3,000 when you want the commercial backlog handled, not only breakages.

## A number for your catalogue

Send the store URL, or the URL of the platform you are leaving. We reply with three specific fixes and where the build sits in that range.
